Fire Division Operations 

The Fire Division of the Sturgis Department of Public Safety is staffed by 13 full time Firefighters. Personnel work 24 hour shifts on a rotational basis, typically working 10 shifts per month. Each shift is staffed by 3 Firefighters and a Captain who is in charge of the daily operations of the shift. Fire Division personnel provide transport ambulance services for medical emergencies in addition to responding to fire related calls, motor vehicle crashes and other hazardous incidents in the City of Sturgis.
